Churbuck, Kim

Kim Churbuck, of Davenport, IA, has been making labels for the backs of quilts for eight years. Her work has appeared in several publications including Quilting Today, American Patchwork and Quilting, Sew News, Keepsake Quilting and Elly Sienkiewiez’s book Design a Baltimore Album Quilt! Kim graduated from Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1990. In addition to a series of appliqué patterns, she has designed three books about quilt label making—Make Your Own Quilt Labels! Volumes I and II, The Family Album of Quilt Labels and a new book called Color Your Quilt Labels! Color Your Quilt Labels! Kim has collaborated on many projects and traveled to quilt shows around the country with her mother, Milly Churbuck of Country House Cottons.
